Howdy fellow baby boomers. How well are you feeling?
After I hit 50, I expected my health to go down hill.
Remember Jack Lalane? I loved watching him with my grandmother. Gramma had Multiple-Sclerosis.
As I grew up, I watched her deteriorate little by little until walking across the room was very difficult for her. Even still, she served her family with love and dedication. Though it took her just shy of 8 minutes to walk from the den to the kitchen in the end, she would still get up, go to her kitchen and gather the ingredients to bake us toll house cookies from scratch. No one could cook like her. She did not measure with measuring spoons or measuring cups, she just knew how to add the right amount of everything to create amazing meals.
Watching her struggle physically, drove me to exercise all the more. I wanted to be strong and not suffer as I witnessed in her. At that time, I did not realize MS was an actual condition and not contagious. I know that now, but did not know that then.
Once I tasted of the experience of exercise, I was hooked. OLD SCHOOL is the absolute best.
Since I have had my children, I have tried Curves, Cross Fit, Kickboxing (still my favorite I must confess), and many other "routines," but OLD SCHOOL is still tried and true. Damage to our health and bodies is REVERSIBLE.
I am not willing to limb through my remaining years on this earth. Are you?
