My son and I are sorting through some old drawings and art supplies and I came across this drawing.
When I was in high school, life dealt some very challenging blows. One such challenge, was I was homeless at the young age of 15 years old. The girl in this drawing and her family, took me in and gave me a home to stay in for a summer. They were very good to me. Her momma was a single mom, working very hard to put food in her babies' bellies and keep a roof over their little heads and she generously took me in when she found out I had no home. A positive note, even though I was homeless at that time, still made the honor roll! YEAH!
This girl's name was Kathy Lemieux. My son and I just found this drawing which I did of her back in 1979ish. Thought I'd share it.
