All of that body fat just fell off. I felt more energy than I did as a teenager, my back stopped hurting, I could even squat down and tie my shoes again, NO BELLY IN BETWEEN. I was exercising six days a week with cardio, my preference is kick-boxing, and weight training four days a week. My diet was awesome, fresh fruits and veggies, moderate amounts of protein, little to NO FATS and absolutely no sugar to speak of.
Then suddenly my muscle-tone left, my skin fell apart and the energy ceased as if the bottom fell out. A slow and steady weight gain around my belly section certainly presented itself and my 'sphere of influence' returned.
Perplexed, back to the research table I went. I was WAY over training, burning 4785 exercise calories per week. Way too much of a demand and not enough dietary calories to support such a demand. My body went as long as it could and tried to sustain the demand when suddenly, it could not keep up and shut down.
I learned that in the absence of dietary fat and a high activity demand, the body will seek to produce its own layer of fat. My body read that excessive exercise as major stress and it triggered a permanent fight or flight response. Our dietary fats provide the liver the building blocks to create our cholesterol and our cholesterol provides the ingredients to build good healthy, well balanced hormones. Take those fats away and the body builds its own fat. Rescue remedy for such a state? Add the good healthy dietary fats back in, and lower the exercise demand on the body. More is not better.
Balance and moderation is key. I stopped the aggressive exercise 8 months ago, taking my body down to zero, and took baby steps back into exercise. Now the proper dietary fats are back in my diet and I avoid anything and everything that has been altered where they separate the fat from the food, and I have added the proper supplements like CLA Conjugated Linoleic Acid back into my daily routine, as well as BUTTER, Cheese, nuts, olive oil, coconut oil, and red meat. My body said, "AHHHHHH!"
This dear little lady is 80 years old. Her routine is simple and basic. She is the oldest female bodybuilder alive today. I absolutely admire her. Balance in routine is key for us women. Not all women enjoy weight training, however, weight lifting is essential for us women as we age. We do not have to look like a male atlas with a female head, nor will we just because we add weight lifting to our weekly routines.

There are countless diets and LOTS of confusion out there. As most women, I have tried it all. Successfully shed 140 whole pounds and kept most of that off. That is a whole person. WQW! I started adding up the dollars and wow, did they see me coming! In good conscience, I could not promote such high ticket items to my peers. That is why I returned to the tried and true and with a clear conscience I share it with you.
Jamie is one of my favorite trainers She is awesome and gives you a routine that is easy to follow and gets the results you see. Why would we give ourselves less?Jamie is young, yet experienced in women's health and fitness.
