So, what do you do when the temp hovers at -25ish below 0?
You send the kids out to gather clean snow and make Snow Ice Cream or course!
The first one is made WITH sugar. The second one is made WITHOUT SUGAR.
Both are YUM!
For the NO SUGAR Ice Cream
Fill a pan full of snow. You will
need more than you think. Fill the pan
mounded over. I use an 8 quart pan.
1 egg
1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
2 Tbsp powdered Stevia
or 15 drops of Stevia liquid.
3 Heaping Tbsp. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Mix this together in a large bowl.
Fold in snow until it is the consistency
of ice cream.
You will find this one to be quite
creamy and OH so good!
For the Sugar batch:
Fill pan as before.
Mix together:
1 Egg
1 full can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Add snow as before. This one will be more icy.
Both are Scrumpdilyicious!
Optional additions: Choc chips, walnuts, pecans etc
So, in Alaska, THAT is what you do when it is -25 below 0!
