Goodmorning!

Did you have a holly, jolly Christmas?

As we entered into this season, I attempted to
keep to my dietary standard.  As I made cookies etc
with the grandbabies, that meant gramma couldn't
sample the goodies we baked together and that meant
disappointed babies.

I gave in and gave up deciding to set aside the restrictions
and just enjoyed the holidays with my loved ones.

As my 'sphere of influence' seemed to expand, we
laughed and loved and explored many new recipes and creative ideas.

Now, back to basics.  The good thing about our bodies is, after
a period of fasting such as occurs during sleep, the body resets
and is ready for metabolism to begin.

Do not be discouraged as you stand in the mirror observing the
lady standing before you.  Love her, care for her and as you
take in your nourishment for today, ask yourself, "is this food
nutrient dense?  Am I feeding my body what it needs?  Or am I feeding
only my taste buds?"

If it is only for the taste buds, set it aside and choose something
that will nourish the body.  Stay AWAY from that scale.  Just seek out
healthy choices.  Your body will take care of the rest.

A healthy body will not store excess fat.  Begin today anew, make
healthy choices and live, love and laugh with your loved ones.
Go for a walk and enjoy the fresh air.
