Another Lil' Shoeprint! Shoeprints Students Here Is How You Fix A Flaw

Here is the next Lil' Shoeprint in creation. I want you to notice the splotches on the paper. THAT, my dear students, is what happens when someone splashes water on your drawing pad. It has long since dried, but where every water drop soaked into the paper, the lead will reveal the flaw in the paper. So, I erased the lead carefully from those areas.

Next, using a very sharp HB pencil, I carefully fill in the area around the splotch. I really did not want the back ground to be so dark, but the darkness of the spot dictates how dark I must go.
Do not use a hard lead pencil, nothing harder than HB, or you will scratch the paper, and do not use softer lead, lest it get "caught" around the ring of the spot and further darken the area. Gently fill in and around the spot. See the step by step progression of the repair? As I finish this one, I will post the progress.

This lil guy is my grandson Justin Time. He is a very loving little boy. His mother, my daughter Amberly Dawn, wears him like jewelry. That is dear and precious when a child rolls back to the tree like a little apple and they settle in around mommy's neck where they feel safe and loved. So dear to my heart.
