EVIDENCE

Finally! This is happening. Been 35 years in the making and now, it is really happening.

This is oil on canvas.
When my youngest son was born, my oldest son brought me this beautiful multi-colored bouquet of roses. When a small child brings us a flower, it means so much. When a teenager brings us a flower, it means even more. He took the time out of his "busy-ness" to bring this to me. Wanting to preserve it forever, I hung it upside-down. The rose contains a chemical which serves as a preservative if you hang the rose upside-down and let it bleed down the stem into the flower before they begin to turn brown.

Over the years, the color has faded a bit, so I painted them with oils. This gift provoked in me just how fading our lives are. Here today and gone as a vapor in the blink of an eye. We rush into our moments, only to look back at them as they fade. This is what I consider every time I glance at this beautiful bouquet.

The actual roses themselves finally crumbled away, but the love of my son and my children is stronger than ever and the desire that it may please the Lord to preserve each one of them through His Son. Enjoy!

Only 1000 copies will be made of this one. If you would like a signed and numbered print, send me an email to ashoeprint@cyndywahlgren.com.
Let me know if you want one with or without the text. These can also be made into cards at your request.
