They Actually Took All of My Money!

When I was a small child, my gramma took me to the Indian Head Bank
in New Hampshire to open my own savings account. I felt like a big girl!

We deposited a cigar tube full of dimes gramma had saved for me.

Until I went into the military, I deposited money into that savings account.

The military took me away from home and eventually, I forgot all about that bank account. Recently, just for kicks, I tried to contact that bank to see if the money I had deposited was still in an account and not only was it no longer existent, but I learned that after so many years of no activity, the bank absorbed my money.

Back then, we had little bank books in which we hand wrote our balances. Today, we have nothing but digital files. No REAL money.

I have changed the way I do banking and am exchanging my 'savings' for real gold. This happens in small increments at a time automatically. Twenty-four karat gold bars are exchanged for the digital numbers in my savings account monthly, while I go about living my life. No more do I have to be concerned that by "inactivity" my account will be absorbed or devalued by inflation.

Here is what my savings account looks like...NOW!

  1. All praises, Cyndy! This is a great and interesting story! I'm definitely able to relate to it. I remember, quite well, saving quarters and then taking them all to the bank. Unfortunately, I spent mine! HA HA HA

I'm so happy to hear you've found the honest money system and way to save authentically! Thanks for sharing your story!
